Following the incident, the local newspaper Página 12 reported that the woman, identified as Beatriz Blanco, 87, was hospitalized at Argerich Hospital in downtown Buenos Aires.

Videos shared on social media show the officer hitting the elderly woman, causing her to collapse to the ground.

Following the incident, the local newspaper Página 12 reported that the woman, identified as Beatriz Blanco, 87, was hospitalized at Argerich Hospital in downtown Buenos Aires.

The clashes began at 4:30 PM, half an hour before the scheduled start of the protest. Over a thousand security officers were deployed to suppress the demonstration. The crackdown included the use of water cannons, rubber bullets, tear gas, and pepper spray.

As they do every Wednesday, retirees once again marched to Congress. However, this time they were joined by football fans, who decided to show their support in the face of the constant repression the retirees endure while demanding access to medication and the recovery of their pensions.
